During the last spring festival my sister sent me a piece of clothing. That is our traditional clothing – Hanfu.
In recent years, the Hanfu has gained widespread acceptance as daily attire. And it is mainly favored by young people. Every time I see people wear Hanfu I would go up and take a nice picture with them. My sister knows that i’m interested in Hanfu. So she sent this to me as a gift. This hanful has a colorful reflective effect, as shiny decorative powders are stamped on the cloth. Modern material – chiffon is also used in this Hanfu. These have outfit includes a shirt and a skirt. The shirt has cross lapels and sleeves are long and wide. The skirt is long and stars above the bosom.
I especially love to have with elegant cuts in fresh colors. you know Hanfu for the Tang Dynasty usually features a chest – high long dress which highlights the curve of women’s chest while hiding any belly fat. It goes with the sense of beauty in that time when people preferred curvy figures rather than slim ones, and I think that’s the reason why so many young girls are found wearing Hanfu, including me. My sister chose a red dress for me. Red represents happiness and good luck. Hence, it is highly recommended during the Spring Festival.
The Spring Festival is a time of change and new beginnings. Practically every activity during Spring Festival has the purpose of removing the old and welcoming the new. Wearing the Hanfu my sister bought for me really added to the festivity. Plus, I joined a Hanfu club which boasts more than 100 members. It organizes activities every three weeks for people to learn about culture while holding events such as traditional dancing, readings and tea art presentations every week.
I think wearing hanful is not only for the pursuit of fashion but also for the inheritance of Chinese culture.

In my opinion, the younger generation is mostly influenced by the latest fashion, whereas old age people are not the slave of fashion. Usually, youth prefer to follow the modern fashion trends, and their inclination is more towards western outfits, such as skirts, jeans, T-shirts, and the fusion of Vietnamese and western attire. Whereas, older adults wear traditional clothes as they feel more comfortable in them.
2. What kinds of clothes do people wear after work?
Well, most people prefer to wear comfortable and casual clothes after spending a long tiresome day at work. Typically at work, people have to wear uniforms or formal dress, so when they are back home, they like to relax and want to be more comfortable.
3. What kind of clothes should people wear at work?
Honestly speaking, people should wear formal clothes at work, and many companies have their dress code policy, which employees are expected to adhere to. In some workplaces, uniforms are needed, which gives them an identity and develops a sense of discipline. Thus, people should wear proper and formal clothes in the workplace.
4. Does personality affect how people choose what to wear?
Indeed, dressing sense reveals our personality to a greater extent. Type of clothes we wear affect our behavior, attitudes, personality and reflect our mood. Our clothes are an extension of our personality. They tell people who we are, where we come from, and what we care about in life.
